The glass oval, more than 2,000 years old, was made during a time in history where the Roman Empire started a new glass blowing technique that was used to make a variety of glassware.

One of the treasures of Israeli archaeology is the large amount of Roman glass shards that are constantly being dug up, and to preserve these pretty pieces from the past, they are being made into unique pieces of jewelry. The centuries of contact with the soil give the glass a uniquely iridescent patina that makes it a perfect material for necklaces, earrings and rings.
